Surface-mounted lights, including spotlights, mainly use LEDs — and there are many reasons for this. Not only do they conserve energy and have a longer service life, but they also have a high resistance to repeat switching, which means they won’t break anytime soon.
And if that wasn’t enough, the flexibility and compactness of LED lights mean they can be made into slimline designs to fit even the tightest of spaces.
