Provence wall light, antique brass, height 28 cm

Provence wall light in vintage style – sleek lines and a sophisticated brass finish

This light, which appears simple at first glance, is a fine example of functional design that emphasises the beauty of practicality. Form is subordinate to function, and it is precisely this that makes it inimitably elegant. The designers have dispensed with everything superfluous and, with the Provence wall light, present a straightforward yet striking light source that is highly versatile. The model can be used to great effect in a bedroom, on the staircase or even in a kitchen-diner, amongst other places.

The satin-finished surface with a brass-effect finish creates a nostalgic atmosphere and serves as a reminder that such lights were already providing bright illumination in homes across the French Provence region at the start of the 20th century. The well-thought-out, simplified design has stood the test of time and remains as relevant today as ever. An interior design scheme in a modern country house style benefits just as much from the Provence wall light as a spacious loft with a penchant for cosy living areas.
