The elegant appearance of the L 840 sensor outdoor wall light from the STEINEL Connected Lighting series enhances any façade. At first glance, you cannot see what technology is concealed behind the simple façade. The L 840 LED outdoor wall light has energy-efficient LEDs that shine upwards and downwards with a warm white light. The technology is surrounded by UV-resistant plastic, which is in an elegant anthracite colour and perfectly complements the simple white colour of the diffusers.

The invisible iHF sensor is not visible from the outside. The motion detector has a range of 5 m and only picks up human movement patterns. All other movements, such as small animals or leaves rustling in the wind, are skilfully ignored. The iHF sensor transmits electromagnetic waves and receives their echo. When a person moves within the detection range, this echo change is detected and the command to turn on the light is activated.

All the functions of the L 840 LED outdoor wall light can either be controlled on the light itself, as is traditional, or from your smartphone or tablet. This is done via a Bluetooth connection and using the appropriate Steinel Smart Remote app, which is available for Android or iOS. This app offers additional functions such as group networking of multiple lamps, an extended range setting or an adjustable main light and night light level.
