PH 3 1/2-2 1/2 floor lamp - a designer piece with a fantastic lighting effect The stylishly designed PH 3 1/2-2 1/2 floor lamp is part of a series of lamps with a reflective three-shade system created by Danish designer Poul Henningsen, which began with the design of this special shade system in 1925/26 and expanded over the years to 19 models with around 1,000 variations. The three-part lampshade emits light mainly downwards and the three shade elements are made of high-quality, mouth-blown opal glass in three layers. The Glas shines on the outside, while the inside has been sandblasted for a matt finish and gives the light emitted a soft effect. The brass frame has an elegant finish, giving the overall impression of timelessness. Poul Henningsen worked with the Louis Poulsen lighting company for decades (from 1925 until his death in 1967), their common goal was to give light form and create lamps that appeal to the senses when switched on and off.
