The Laguna table lamp skilfully combines two opposing elements. There is, on the one hand, the fine damask lampshade, which is so permeable that parts of its pattern shine through the lampshade as shadows. In contrast to this is the frame of the table lamp, which is much more formidable A dome-shaped centrepiece made of brass leads to a base with four feet. The combination proves to be successful as Laguna's base ensures the stability of the light whilst also leaving the focus on the wide lampshade of the table lamp. The lampshade lets light pass through the fine damask material with minimal glare as well as out through the top of the lamp as direct light.
