Spherical glass lampshades perfected - the Kushi LED ceiling light
With this model, Valerio Sommella and Alberto Saggia, the Italian design duo who are responsible for the Kushi LED ceiling light, released a lighting object that emanates peace and comfort. On one side, this is thanks to the very organic shapes and the simply-kept, calming design - but the other important factor is the lighting effect that occurs via the double-layered, etched opal glass lampshade. The glass is hand-blown, and thanks to its spherical shape, it acts as a sort of round diffuser, producing completely glare-fee and very cosy lighting. The lighting is also cosy due to the warm white LEDs (2,700 K), that radiate with the luminous colour of a traditional light bulb
Kundalini - design and lighting
The designer lighting manufacturer Kundalini follows a particular vision - namely, the pursuit of extra-sensory design and lighting. Indeed, the statement-making lighting objects from this Milanese company appeal to all of the senses. One glance at a Kundalini light evokes an immediate emotion in the viewer. “Kundalini” comes from the Ancient Indian language and means “the power inside a person”. The lights from Kundalini also possess this power, and have emerged out of a partnership with international designers such as Helen Konturis, Alessandro Mendini and Norman Foster, dating back to 1996.
