The design of the Acorn hanging light is undoubtedly inspired by its natural counterpart, the acorn. Like its natural counterpart, it features a rounded, square shape; the cap is made of white silicone, whilst the socket, with the traditional light bulb at its centre, serves as the ‘fruit’.

The cap, viewed from above, and the metallic finish on the otherwise transparent glass walls create a softly shimmering light that feels very cosy. The ideal light source for illuminating a dining table or a kitchen worktop.

The creator of the Acorn hanging light, Danish designer Jacob Rudbeck, draws his inspiration from nature, as he believes that nature is still the world’s best graphic designer. Rudbeck designs products for Scandinavia’s leading design labels, including the trendy Danish lighting manufacturer Vita UMAGE, which has set itself the goal of further developing Scandinavian design by combining aesthetics, purism and functionality with meticulous craftsmanship to create beautiful products.
