The classic PH 5 300 pendant light is a harmonious combination of diverse shapes, featuring a matt-lacquered, monochrome finish alongside its elegantly rounded triple shades. This adds a modern element to the well-known design of this iconic light. The arrangement of the lampshades, which vary in size, ensures that they reflect the light and illuminate the light itself. The light is directed predominantly downwards; it is completely glare-free and is diffused throughout the room. Some light also radiates to the side, pleasantly illuminating the room. In 1958, the Danish designer Poul Henningsen designed a series of lights. He was responding to the constantly changing shapes and sizes of traditional light bulbs and created a light that could accommodate all of them. The designer lived from 1894 to 1967 and designed numerous designer lights for the long-established Danish company Louis Poulsen.
