Designer pendant light Doo-Wop – reissue of the popular Navy pendant lamp

This pendant light has already made history: it was created in the 1950s by Louis Poulsen in collaboration with the Danish Navy's building management department and used in their functional buildings, such as offices and canteens. This earned it the name Navy pendant light.

The inner lampshade – a simple white cone – directs the light downwards, while the outer reflector, which forms the actual lampshade, allows softly diffused light to escape both upwards and downwards, creating a very cosy atmosphere in the room.

After this popular light source was manufactured until the 1980s, a new edition of the classic was released in 2012, which is sure to enjoy the same popularity thanks to its visual and design advantages.

Even today, Doo-Wop lampshades are still made by hand. They also still feature a finely rolled edge.

Note: The brass surface is untreated. This means that the lampshade will develop a patina over time.
