Karman Black Out outdoor hanging light, Ø 35 cm, white

Black Out outdoor hanging light made from fibreglass mesh

Unique products with a creative concept, targeted lighting effects and high-quality craftsmanship – it is this combination that makes the lights from the Italian manufacturer Karman so appealing. The Black Out series, designed by Matteo Ugolini, also follows this pattern.

The Black Out outdoor hanging light really comes into its own in an otherwise dark setting, such as that found during the power cut that gave the series its name. Its lampshade consists of a mesh of fibreglass threads, which are spun around a rotating mould during manufacture until only small gaps remain. Placed above a patio table, for example, the lampshade – which is open at the bottom – provides direct lighting. The suspension system can be adjusted to suit the circumstances; for instance, the 5-metre-long cable can be wound around the ceiling beams.
