Kaiser idell™ harmonica arm light in Bauhaus design with extendable arm, cable and plug

The Kaiser idell™ wall light features all the basic geometric characteristics of modernism: spheres, circles and cylinders. Today, the lamp, designed by German designer Christian Dell, is a symbol of elegant and sophisticated Bauhaus design, exquisite material selection and precise technology.

The scissor arm of the wall light immediately catches the eye of every observer. The extendability and the patented swivel joint lampshade allow for individual adjustment of the lighting and ensure well-thought-out functionality. Another advantage of the light is its installation with cable and plug, which allows for versatile use in living or working areas.

The designer responsible, Christian Dell, comes from Offenbach and was a trained silversmith before moving to Weimar. There he studied at the Saxon School of Arts and Crafts under Henry van de Velde and later became a teacher of industrial design and master craftsman at the Bauhaus Weimar. The Kaiser idell™ series of lights is produced by FRITZ HANSEN in the usual high quality. The traditional Danish company from Copenhagen works with many well-known designers such as Arne Jacobsen and Hans J. Wegner. The quality of its craftsmanship has made the company famous far beyond the borders of Denmark.
