Handmade Parrot XXL pendant light with an expansive rattan and abacá lampshade The Parrot XXL pendant light catches the eye with its particularly large lampshade, which is made of rattan and abacá, a plant native to East Asia. It consists of small ropes, one on top of the other, which have been designed in different colours to create an unusual pattern. The textile suspension and the metal canopy are black and round off the look of the pendant light. On the inside, the bulb holder is surrounded by a separate diffuser, which ensures that the light is emitted glare-free into the surroundings. The light can be dimmed using an external dimmer and matching bulb. When designing the Parrot light series, product designer Jette Scheib was inspired by the cultural influence and diversity of basket weaving and basket design. Die collection underlines the colourful and expressive side of basket culture. Parrot is produced by the well-known French lighting manufacturer Forestier.
