Hashira Cluster pendant light, designed in the style of a rice-paper lantern

The Hashira Cluster is a pendant light whose design is reminiscent of traditional Japanese rice-paper lanterns. Its lampshade consists of three cylindrical individual lampshades, assembled to form a tripartite structure. The light owes its name, ‘Hashira’, to the cylindrical shape of the individual lampshade elements, as ‘Hashira’ is the Japanese word for ‘pillar’.

The design firm Norm Architects is responsible for the design of all lights in the Hashira series. The design studio, which works primarily in the fields of residential architecture, commercial interiors and graphic design, attaches great importance to the timelessness and durability of the products it designs, a philosophy that is also reflected in the Hashira series of lights. The name ‘Norm Architects’ was deliberately chosen by the firm’s founders to emphasise the importance of norms and traditions in the fields of aesthetics and architecture.
