Outdoor Pendant Lights
Breathtaking style, outside and in.
Wherever you put outdoor pendant lights, they’re a guaranteed conversation starter. And with a range of modern or vintage-style designs to choose from, you can put them anywhere, from a roofed terrace or wooden pavilion to the canopy outside your own front door.
Oh, and when we say anywhere, we mean it, as they make the perfect designer lamp for indoor use too.
Now, you weren’t expecting to hear that, were you?
Which outdoor pendant lights are popular at the moment?
Really, the question should be, which outdoor pendant lights aren’t popular?
Right now, there are lots of different designs and styles to choose between. From rustic, antique-style pendant lamps and minimalist light dispensers to arty hand-blown glass lights and trendy industrial cage models.
Whatever look you’re going for, there’s an outdoor pendant light to match.
But that’s not all, many outdoor pendants are ideal as designer lights for use indoors, with world-famous brands, including:
Creating breathtaking pieces for use inside and out.
If you’re looking to make a statement, our exterior pendant lights will do just that.
How do I attach an external pendant lamp?
As a general rule, outdoor pendant lights are mounted on roofed outdoor areas, e.g. on a terrace or under a canopy.
However, because of the variety of outdoor pendant lights available, there’s no one correct answer. Every light is different, so it’s best to check the assembly instructions before installation (though we’d advise leaving that part to an electrician).
Are there outdoor pendant lights with rechargeable batteries?
If you’re unable to connect your outdoor lamps to a power source, it doesn’t mean you have to miss out on the enjoyment and comfort of outdoor lighting. Instead, why not pick one of the many battery-powered pendant lamps instead?
Personally, we can highly recommend Paulmann outdoor lights, which are chargeable via a USB cable.
What degree of protection do outdoor pendant lights need?
Despite being covered, outdoor hanging lamps are exposed to extreme weather conditions, which is why external lighting has a higher IP (Ingress Protection) rating than their indoor counterparts.
The minimum rating for exterior lights is IP44, which protects them from spraying water and rain.
