Grass L pendant light with a handmade lampshade made from natural materials

The Grass L pendant light catches the eye with its sweeping, rounded lampshade and is perfect for lighting up your living room or dining room table. The lampshade is composed of overlapping strips in different warm colours. It is made of rattan and abacá, a plant species from East Asia that is used, for example, in the production of ship ropes. The pendant light brings an attractive, natural touch to the living area and creates a cosy atmosphere. The light bulb socket is located in the centre of the inside of the shade. It is surrounded by a separate diffuser, which ensures that the light is emitted into the surrounding area without glare.

With the Grass series of lights, product designer Jette Scheib wanted to express the tranquillity inherent in the traditional weaving process. The natural materials, colours and design reflect the landscape and fields where the materials for basket weaving are grown. Grass was manufactured by the renowned French company Forestier.
