How many lumens should my table lamp have?

If the table lamp with shade is to be used to illuminate an area, e.g. to provide light for reading, at least 400 lumens are recommended. If, on the other hand, the luminaire is intended primarily as a decorative element to create a cozy atmosphere, brightness is not the decisive factor.

Are there also dimmable table lamps with shades?

Although a fabric shade already makes the light pleasantly soft, many table lamps also have an integrated dimmer to adjust the brightness to your own preferences at any time. Whether the light has a pull switch or a touch dimmer for this purpose depends on the product.
