Tripod HM9 table lamp - Danish design classic Minimalist yet unmistakable - the Tripod HM9 table lamp epitomises the qualities of Scandinavian design. The design of the Tripod HM9 table lamp is characterised by clear lines that are aligned with each other to create a distinctive and recognisable design. Designed back in 1953 by Peter Hvidt (1916-1986) and Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen (1907-1993), the appearance of this lamp series still looks contemporary today. The lampshade is made from a single aluminium element and is open at the bottom to prevent glare. The steel frame consists of a slender arm with a ball weight at the base and a curved bracket, resulting in three points of support for solid stability. Brass details lend Tripod HM9 additional elegance.
