Melt Mini 1-bulb LED pendant light – a visual highlight with a striking lighting effect
Melt Mini is part of Tom Dixon’s decorative Melt series of lights, which comprises various pendant lights as well as wall and floor lamps and stands out thanks to its extravagant design, which gives the impression that it is made of molten glass. This effect also gave the series of lights its name: Melt.
A special process is used in the manufacture of Melt: vacuum thin-film deposition with a semi-metallised surface. This semi-mirrored effect is also familiar from fashionable sunglasses. With the Melt Mini, the lampshade appears translucent when the light is switched on; when unlit, the hyper-reflective effect is created.
