The modern LED wall light LYD was designed by Formfjord, a German design company, while serien.lighting is responsible for its manufacture in Germany. The aluminium wall mount, barely visible behind the lampshade, supports the lampshade, which consists of a clear acrylic ring and a front made of anodised aluminium. This makes the front panel appear to float away from the wall.

The light is emitted only at the sides or reflected onto the wall at the back, creating indirect, planar illumination. A high-quality LED module with good colour rendering is included and produces warm white light, the brightness of which can be externally dimmed via a triac.

Combining several of these wall lights creates a particularly elegant and harmonious overall look. This makes LYD perfect for use in stairwells and long corridors.
