Drum was created by designer Jean-Marc da Costa, who is also co-founder and one of the managing directors of manufacturer serien.lighting.Visually, Drum defines itself as a play of geometric shapes that is particularly suitable for accentuating linear architecture. The cylindrical shade made of hand-blown glass houses a truncated cone made of polycarbonate as an internal reflector, which is reflected in the shiny surface of the luminaire unit produced from aluminum. At the same time, the reflector creates a soft light diffusion all around as well as a downward direct light.
