Lampe de Marseille wall light – double-sided light source and flexible adjustment
Lampe de Marseille is versatile, impressively flexible and provides generous lighting. Its name already gives a clue as to the origin of the wall light: Swiss-French architect Le Corbusier designed it to furnish his new type of residential building, "Unité d'Habitation", which was first realised in Marseille in 1947 and then in other French cities and Berlin until 1965.
The characteristic feature of the series of lights is the head with two lampshades that emit light on both sides. A flat cone (recommended: E27 globe bulb up to Ø 11 cm) provides broad light, while the narrow cone opposite (recommended: E27 traditional light bulb A60) produces a directed cone of light. Thanks to two rotating and swivelling joints on the slim arm, the lampshades can be rotated as desired and their position in the room adjusted. The light sources are operated separately via the double switch on the plug cable.
