Luceplan Illan LED wooden pendant light, dimmable, Ø 100 cm

Luceplan Illan – a fascinating wooden pendant light with a sophisticated LED strip

The Illan LED pendant light is crafted from flexible plywood. The translucent appearance of the entire light only becomes apparent once it is installed. Under the force of gravity, the laser-cut wood unfolds like a fan. Ring by ring, the wooden pendant light unfolds in undulating movements, responding to almost every movement of the air.

Its three-dimensional form resembles a sculpture that treads a fine line between art and design, combining functional quality with aesthetic appeal. The design embodies a lively, constant variation that creates a strong visual impact and offers exceptional decorative value.

The sheer lightness and the wood grain convey a sense of well-being, whilst the skilful use of the LED light source creates comfortable, relaxing lighting. The pendant light was manufactured with a strong focus on sustainability. It is made from FSC-certified wood and the number of components has been kept to a minimum. The production process had a very low environmental impact. As the lamp, when packed, consists solely of a wooden panel with a maximum thickness of 2.5 mm, only a slim package and minimal packaging material are required for dispatch. Illan is also dimmable via a trailing edge dimmer, which can significantly reduce energy consumption.
