VL38 table lamp - design classic by Vilhelm Lauritzen now with LED The VL38 LED table lamp not only looks retro, it is also retro - because the first design for this lamp model dates back to the late 1930s and was created especially for the Danish broadcasting centre in Copenhagen. Today, this design by Vilhelm Lauritzen (1894-1984), a famous Danish architect, is fitted with LEDs, offering the user a contemporary lighting solution. The inclination of the head and stand tube can be easily adjusted and the brightness can be switched to two levels (50% and 100%) using the switch integrated into the base - including a memory function. Another function of the VL38 LED table lamp is the timer, which switches the light off automatically after four or eight hours. Vilhelm Lauritzen's Gross works as an architect include the Radiohuset broadcasting centre in Copenhagen, Copenhagen's first airport and the Nørrebro theatre. The Danish light manufacturer Louis Poulsen added the light series designed for the Radio House to its range and produced it in series. Note: The brass parts of the light are untreated and may therefore develop a patina over time.
