Verner Panton's Panthella: table lamp with timeless design
Verner Panton's design for this lamp dates back to the 1970s. The designer and architect was fascinated by shapes and colours. His mentors Poul Henningsen and Arne Jacobsen, as well as the maxims of functionalism, had a major influence on him.
The hemispherical lampshade of the Panthella 320 table lamp is made of deep-drawn steel, while the trumpet-shaped base is made of aluminium. All parts have been chrome-plated to a high gloss, giving the light a seamless appearance. As the lampshade is opaque and white on the inside, the light is reflected directly downwards. From there, part of the light is reflected into the room and upwards thanks to the base. Includes cord switch.
