Rechargeable Space LED table lamp by Adam Tihany When developing the Space LED table lamp, designer Adam Tihany had the famous Seattle Space Needle, the observation tower built for the 1962 World's Fair, in mind. The look of this table lamp is therefore very futuristic and almost "spacey". Space is a rechargeable light with a rechargeable battery that guarantees a maximum lighting time of eight hours. The body and lampshade of the light are made of different plastics (Mite and ABS), some of which are transparent and some opaque. Space is switched on and off by touching the upper part of the shade. For the design company Kartell, plastic in all its forms and colours is one of the most frequently used materials for its designer pieces, some of which are so famous that they have become true Klassik. Well-known creations from the Hausen include the K 1340 children's chair and the KS 1481 lemon squeezer, as well as the 4006 lamp model by Achille and Piergiacomo Castiglioni from 1959.
