Planet floor lamp - dazzling reflections with modern LED technology The Japanese product designer Tokujin Yoshioka has designed this spectacular floor lamp for the Italian brand manufacturer Kartell. The shape of the lampshade itself is somewhat reminiscent of a Planet, which is not quite round but rather elliptical. The crystalline look of the surface creates an enchanting Glitzer and iridescent Reflexions. The special feature here is the material - instead of crystal glass, a special synthetic resin, so-called thermoplastic technopolymer, is used, which refracts the light differently at every angle due to its different material thickness. The challenge of creating a sparkling light effect without the use of crystals has therefore been met with outstanding success. Planet's brightness can be adjusted as desired using the integrated dimmable function. Kartell can look back on a long company history and is the leading design company from Italy. Renowned designers from all over the world work with Kartell. In addition to lighting, the company's success is mainly based on furniture, furnishings and home accessories.
