Kupoli - designer floor lamp from 1960 The design of the Kupoli floor lamp is so timeless that it has already survived several decades and still looks as fresh and modern today as it did back then. Kupoli is Finnish and means dome in German - a descriptive title for a light whose shade is indeed dome-shaped. Both the material (acrylic) and the shape of the shade create a glare-free and cosy light. Most of the light escapes downwards, but some also escapes to the sides and upwards, as the acrylic shade is slightly translucent. The designer of Kupoli, Yki Nummi (1925-1984), is one of Innolux's Klassik designers. The Finnish manufacturer Innolux produces lights that date back to the 1950s and 1960s as well as lights by contemporary Finnish designers. Kupoli and Yki Nummi are representatives of Innolux's classic product line.
