The Caravaggio™ light series by Cecilie Manz is produced by the Danish company FRITZ HANSEN, which originated in 1872 when the cabinetmaker Fritz Hansen from Nakskov was granted a trading licence for Copenhagen. the company, which had already built up a very good reputation in the first decades of the twentieth century and manufactured products by famous designers such as Arne Jacobsen, Hans J. Wegner and Kaare Klint, was family-owned for 107 years before Skandinavisk Holding took over 75% of it in 1979 and invested heavily in making it fit for the future. Today, FRITZ HANSEN has transformed itself from a pure production company into a modern sales and brand company with a stronger focus on the end consumer.
