Foscarini Twiggy Grid - LED pendant lamp for outdoor use, IP44
The hallmark of the Twiggy Grid LED pendant lamp by Foscarini is the handcrafted lampshade with a mesh look. In a special process developed by Foscarini itself, a thin band of fiberglass composite material is wrapped around a rotating cylinder. While the upper and lower edges of the shade are reinforced by an additional band, the remaining part is kept very filigree, which gives the lamp a very open and light character.
The LED light convinces with a very good colour rendering (CRI>90) and is emitted downwards over a large area through a satin diffuser located in the upper part of the shade. Thus, Twiggy Grid can provide a direct and very bright basic lighting as a pendant above a balcony or patio table. But also indoors, this designer piece convinces at first sight - for example as dining area or kitchen table lighting.
Marc Sadler is an industrial designer and after the first edition of the Twiggy series in 2006 he dared a new edition with the outdoor lamp variant Twiggy Grid. Always experimenting with new materials and production processes, the Twiggy Grid is again a result of his meticulous research work.
