Foscarini Birdie LED piccola – table lamp for a diffused lighting ambience

The Birdie LED piccola table lamp makes a statement not only with its minimalist yet striking design, but also with the lighting ambience it creates in its surroundings. Made from translucent polycarbonate, the conical lampshade creates a diffused lighting atmosphere whilst simultaneously casting a direct downward light. The touch dimmer, which allows the Birdie LED piccola not only to be switched on and off but also to be dimmed in stages, is located on the delicate branch that protrudes diagonally from the stem, justifying the association of this table lamp with a tree. For this branch is as if made for a little bird – ‘Birdie’ in English.

The renowned Italian lighting manufacturer Foscarini is known for creating unusual, first-class lighting objects. Once a coherent design concept is in place, no expense or effort is spared in bringing it to life. This is how the Birdie series of lights came into being in 2011 under the leadership of the two designers Ludovica and Roberto Palomba.
