Forestier Papillon XS table lamp, cream

Papillon XS table lamp by Élise Fouin with an airy, light silhouette

Like a lantern, the lampshade – comprising three domes of different sizes – hangs from a curved rod, whilst the airy, light metal wires allow a clear view of the bulb inside. A distinctive feature of this Papillon light is the curved edges on each dome, which create attractive geometric shapes in the style of the 1950s. The round lamp base is ideal for placing small objects on top, which are then illuminated directly by the light. A small stylistic detail worth mentioning is the fabric-covered cable with a built-in switch for turning the light on and off.

Élise Fouin is a young designer who focuses on the material itself, whilst allowing the object to take a back seat. A poetic spirit underpins every light.
