Poetic design of light and shadow – the Papillon pendant light by Élise Fouin

Élise Fouin is a young designer who puts the material at the forefront. She uses recycled materials as raw materials to reinvent them. Her work is underpinned by a poetic spirit and a commitment to sustainable development.

Papillon consists of three domes of different sizes placed one above the other, whose numerous metal wires filter the light and guarantee a unique play of light and shadow on the wall. The wavy edges of the domes are reminiscent of the geometric design of the 1950s and, thanks to the airy design of the body, appear very light and floating. The light is completed by a textile-covered cable that ends in a round ceiling canopy in the same colour as the light.
