Bellhop mobile LED designer table lamp with rechargeable battery
The Bellhop LED table lamp was designed by Universal Design Studio founders Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby, who collaborated with Italian manufacturer FLOS to create it in 2018 for the Parabola restaurant and the members' lounge at the Design Museum London, which has been based in Kensington since November 2016. The result was the cordless Bellhop table lamp, with a base and lampshade made of coloured polycarbonate. The integrated LEDs provide power for their light through a plastic disc on the side. The diffuser is made of photo-engraved, injection-moulded, opal polycarbonate and allows the light to be gently diffused downwards.
The brightness is dimmable in four stages using a button on the base. The Bellhop table lamp, which can be used on the go for up to 24 hours, is charged via a micro USB port. A charging time of three hours is required for six hours of operation with maximum light output. The battery status indicator is located under the base. A USB-C cable is included in the scope of delivery.
