The lampshade of the light has a very minimalist design and size. It is made of aluminium and is closed by a glass panel that serves as a diffuser. The designer of GIO.light is the Frenchman Patrick Norguet, who works not only with Artemide but also with many other design companies. He became famous in 1999 with his Rainbow Chair. The designer lighting company Artemide was founded in 1960 by Ernesto Gismondi. Das Artemide's endeavour lies in researching materials, technology and socio-cultural aspects.
