The Empatia table lamp – the combination of innovative LED technology and Venetian glass craftsmanship
The Empatia glass table lamp is the result of a collaboration between the designer Paola di Arianello and Carlotta de Bevilacqua (Vice-President and CEO of Artemide and President of Danese Milano). Ever since 2008 the partnership between the two designers has gone from strength to strength, and during this time they have worked on various lighting projects.
A high-performance LED is fitted in the core of the Empatia lamp. It is thermally disconnected from the glass body, which increases its light output. A transparent polycarbonate bar with a very low absorption coefficient very efficiently directs the light to the glass diffuser.
The built-in touch dimmer enables the light output to be adjusted as desired. Overall, Empatia is a table lamp that gives a very effective additional light everywhere – on the windowsill, on a chest of drawers, or on the bedside table.
Since its foundation in 1960, Artemide has stood for high-quality designer lights manufactured in Italy.
