Athena is a floor lamp with indirect, diffused light emission. The uplighter is characterised above all by its small footprint and understated, minimalist design. Two thin circular discs form the base and the head of the light, connected by a slender, straight rod. Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa designs products for a variety of internationally renowned brands. The Athena floor lamp was created for the Italian company Artemide. The globally successful manufacturer of designer lamps has continued to develop since its foundation in 1960 and now operates its own production facilities, glass factories and a research centre.
