Modern interpretation of a classic: Type 80 table lamp by Anglepoise (sample)

The Type 80 desk luminaire is one of the latest creations of the designer Sir Kenneth Grange; it dates from 2019 and has been chief designer at Anglepoise since 2003, a luminaire manufacturer known for its functional designer luminaires, particularly its technically sophisticated desk luminaires. While some of this manufacturer's classics have been in production for a good 80 years and have not changed in their design and functionality, Type 80 is a modern interpretation of the proven classics.

As with the classics, this modern Anglepoise model is all about maximum flexibility and stability at the same time. The two Type 80 joints allow the light cone to be adjusted to the desired position so that you can work at your desk or read in bed. The special extra of this otherwise simple luminaire is the thin all-round light outlet in the shade, which not only provides focussed lighting but also a slight ambient lighting and thus a cosy ambience.

The on/off switch is located on the lamp head.
