Floor lamp Black Out made in Italy by Karman
The designer lights made by Karman, an Italian light manufacturer, are made exclusively locally in Italy - mostly by hand. This is also the case with the Black Out series of lights, which were designed by Matteo Ugolini, an Italian designer. In Black Out, the focus is clearly on the lampshade, which appears almost oversized. This is made by hand from fibre glass. Fibre glass fibres are pulled around a rotated lampshade model piece by piece. The result is irregular gaps, through which the light of the three light bulbs shine.
Due to its size and the three light bulb sockets, Black Out produces general lighting for a specific area, in addition to a flexible reading light and accent lighting. Therefore, the floor lamp can be used either as an additional light or as a light source which provides general lighting in a room or a certain area.
