Designer outdoor hanging light Panto in spherical shape The transparent acrylic that forms the outer shell of the Panto pendant light is completely spherical. The transparency of this shell reveals the internal system of reflectors that direct the light. Three white aluminium reflectors ensure glare-free light, which is mainly directed downwards in the Panto model. Panto is a lamp designed by Verner Panton (1926-1998), one of the most famous Danish designers of the 20th century, who was recognised and appreciated worldwide for his furniture, such as the Panton Chair from the 1960s. His enthusiasm for plastic also influenced the design for Panto, as the transparent sphere is not made of Glas, as one might think at first glance, but of acrylic. He achieved great fame with his designs in the middle of the 20th century, and today his ideas are once again being produced by the Danish company VERPAN. Each light is engraved with his name and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
