Modern designer pendant light inspired by the traditional light bulb With her pendant light, Danish light artist Sofie Refer has paid homage to the old-fashioned light bulb, which is now being replaced almost everywhere by LED bulbs. The shape of the lampshade is reminiscent of the typical light bulb shape. The light also emphasises the importance of the bulb with its transparent lampshade and clear view of the inner workings. Ideally, a decorative bulb, e.g. a filament bulb, should be used here. The glass shade is mouth-blown and may have various differences or irregularities, but these are a typical sign of craftsmanship and make each light unique. &Tradition is a Danish company that manufactures lights and furniture. As the company name suggests, Tradition and classic designs play a major role - but also new, modern designs that are timeless. The Bulb lighting series by Sofi Refer is an example of the latter.
