Light bulb(s) not included
Bauhaus ceiling light with brass suspension The design of this ceiling light goes back to the Bauhaus artist Marianne Brandt, who designed the Original in 1926. Marianne BRANDT is one of the best-known representatives of the Bauhaus. The spherical lampshade made of white opal glass, typical of the Bauhaus Phase, is held by a canopy made of polished brass. One change to the original model is the polished and zaponised brass frame. In Marianne Brandt's design, this was made of aluminium. This material was deliberately replaced as it is susceptible to oxidation. The wall light is available in four different sizes; both energy-saving and LED bulbs can be used. Depending on the diameter, the maximum wattage is 75 or 100 W. Please note: Bulbs that have a clear glass bulb could cast shadows on the lampshade made of glass. It is therefore advisable not to use bulbs of this type. Committed to Bauhaus - the Tecnolumen company The Bauhaus, founded in 1919 by Walter Gropius in Weimar, produced many recognised artists and works that are now regarded as modernist classics. The German lighting manufacturer Tecnolumen has set itself the task of reissuing these pieces. In addition to accessories and lights by Marianne BRANDT, these include originals by Wilhelm Wagenfeld. His famous table lamp, created in 1924, was the first product to be re-released by Tecnolumen in a licensed socket in 1979.
