The design of the Rusty Square pillar light aims to create a visual reference to classic Japanese garden architecture. This reference is no coincidence, as Japan has a long tradition of cultivating an aesthetic of transience. And so the Rusty Square's unique appearance, which is individually rusted and continues to change over time when used outdoors, also finds a fitting counterpart in Japanese design.
The Rusty Square lights are extremely sturdy, made of Cor-Ten steel/cast iron and equipped with energy-saving technology. The special alloy with a high copper content allows controlled rusting on the surface and prevents rust from flaking off.
