Imposing designer pendant light Nuvem - infinitely variable and expandable The Nuvem pendant light consists of a modular system of plug-in connections and folds that allows modules to be put together an infinite number of times. Designer Miguel Arruda described his design as follows: "We didn't make a light, we made a Deck." The individual module is around 1m² in size and is designed like a honeycomb, allowing an infinite number of units to be connected to one another to form variable landscapes and float in space. The plug-in system also allows an infinite number of different forms to be created and varied. The basic module is supplied with a spot that shines upwards and downwards and can be extended with additional modules and lights. Die Nuvem can be used in private living spaces as well as in public environments such as in the Fungi of Hotels and Restaurants or exhibition spaces of Galleries and Museums and can function as a decorative light source with a luxurious Flair. Miguel Arruda is an internationally recognised sculptor, architect, designer and educator. He taught at the Universidade de LISBOA for more than two decades and has been a guest lecturer for various courses on great personalities such as Le Corbusier. The system for his extraordinary pendant light originates from one of his sculptures from 1980 and was redesigned by Slamp. Since it was founded in 1992, the Italian lighting manufacturer Slamp has established itself on the market as a producer of high-quality designer lights. The company, founded by Roberto Ziliani, relies on cooperation with internationally recognised designers and draws on expertise from over 25 years of experience in development and research to produce its lights.
