Glamorous Aurora designer ceiling light made of Plainflex® and crystals The Aurora ceiling light is a real highlight and an adornment for any room. The crystal centre enhances the light, which almost seems to circle to the rhythm of its Reflexes, while the ceiling lamp radiates grace and elegance throughout the room. Thanks to a practical magnetic system, the light can be easily attached to the ceiling. The unusually designed lampshade can be easily removed, making it easy to replace the bulb and clean the surfaces. Made from high-quality technopolymers specially developed and processed by the luminaire manufacturer Slamp, the distinctive and luxurious design was created by the internationally renowned architect and designer Nigel Coates. But Aurora is not just a light source that can be used in both private and catering settings, it is also a design object and piece of furniture that adds a glamorous note to the prevailing style of living. British architect and designer Nigel Coates studied at the University of Nottingham. He was Professor and Head of the Department of Architecture at the Royal College of Art from 1995 to 2011 and retired in 2011. During his career, he has designed numerous pieces of furniture and lights for various Italian companies. From 2008 to 2010, he was Art Director at Slamp. Coates endeavours to combine art and intelligence with architecture and design - whatever the space or object, he always interprets it with passion, irony and instinct. The Italian lighting company Slamp was founded in 1992 by Roberto Ziliani and places particular emphasis on the development of innovative materials in the production of its designer lights. Slamp has developed exclusive and patented technopolymers such as Cristalflex®, Opalflex® and Lentiflex®. These are not only particularly environmentally friendly, reducing environmental costs by a factor of 4 compared to alternatives, but also help to achieve unique lighting effects. Technopolymers are produced without adhesives or screws, but are realised by hand using plug-in connections that can be used to achieve forms and effects that would not be possible with other materials.
