Dome-shaped pendant light SONORA made of black steel When designing this lighting object, the creator Vico Magistretti was inspired by the effect of geometric forms and simplicity. He realised this above all with the design of the lampshade, which has a magnificent appearance thanks to its dome shape and considerable size. The lampshade is made of black lacquered steel, so that the light is emitted directly downwards from the large lampshade opening to ideally illuminate a table surface, for example. The designer Vico Magistretti created the Sonora light in 1976 for the Italian premium manufacturer Oluce. To this day, the light has lost none of its charm, making it one of the lighting manufacturer's most popular lighting fixtures.
