Karl-Johan designer wall light with glass shade The Karl-Johan wall light is a design by Signe Hytte, a Danish designer who designs and creates for companies including New Works. Hytte found the inspiration for Karl-Johan on a walk in the autumn forest. The mushroom shape of the lampshade is unmistakable. The wall mount is made of oak and the spherical lampshade is made of glass. The Karl-Johan lamp series by Signe Hytte is produced and distributed by the Danish company New Works. The Copenhagen-based company's range includes furniture, lights and other decorative and furnishing items. The style can be described as a mixture of design and art in the spirit of Scandinavian minimalism.
