Mater Shade Light pendant light

Shade Light pendant light with atmospheric lighting effect The Shade Light pendant light is designed with a large lampshade in the form of a hemisphere open at the bottom. It is made from hand-spun aluminium in a small manufactory in India for the Mater company. The inside of the lampshade is decorated with a hand-hammered textured pattern; the top has a small hole so that a portion of the light can escape upwards and create a fascinating lighting atmosphere. Shade Light is a creation by the designer duo Space Copenhagen, consisting of Signe Bindslev Henriksen and Peter Bundgaard Rützou. They founded their joint Studio in 2005 and work in a wide variety of fields: Design of lighting and furniture, refined objects to art installations, art direction as well as interior design. They endeavour to break new ground by combining opposites - classic and modern, light and shadow, sculptural and Minimal, industrial and organic - in one object.
