Fascinating Firefly pendant light - Design: José de la O The Mexican designer José de la O was inspired by the traditional flycatchers from his home country to create the look of the Firefly pendant light. José de la O, who first studied industrial design in Mexico City and then in Eindhoven (Netherlands), opened his own Studio in Eindhoven in 2010. The Firefly pendant light is both an eye-catcher and a source of atmospheric ambient lighting. It stands out well as a solitaire and also fulfils a wide variety of lighting tasks in a group, e.g. when mounted at different heights. The bulb used remains hidden from view. It is inserted inside the upper cap and shines into the seamlessly adjoining glass body at the bottom, which is clear at the top and sandblasted at the bottom to diffuse the light. The Firefly pendant light is manufactured in flawless quality by the Mater company, which attaches great importance to conserving resources and using traditional craftsmanship techniques during production.
