Suspension lamp Mercer with blown glass shade and textile diffuser made of cotton

Depending on the selected size, one or two E27 bulbs, which are available separately via the accessories, can be used with the suspension lamp Mercer. Laterally, the light is slightly diffused by the textile insert of cotton embedded in the glass. The glass cylinder itself is mouth-blown and is designed open at the bottom. Mercer is supported by three steel cables, which are attached to the canopy and in the middle of which runs the connecting cable, which is sheathed in textile.

Despite its not small size, this glass pendant lamp appears delicate and conveys a feeling of weightlessness. This was precisely the aspiration of the multi-award-winning industrial designer Joan Gaspar, who designed the Mercer series in cooperation with Javier M. Borrás back in 2005. The materials used, or rather their arrangement in particular, were intended to lend that certain something to a comparatively simple design.
