LED wall light VL38 by Vilhelm Lauritzen with plug The LED wall light VL38 is a true classic. The model originally dates back to the 1930s, when the architect Vilhelm Lauritzen designed the Danish broadcasting centre "Radiohuset" in Copenhagen. He designed lights for this building, which were later named "VL38" after him and produced in series by the Danish light manufacturer Louis Poulsen. Lauritzen (1894-1984) is considered one of the best-known Danish architects, and the VL38 model has now been given a slight contemporary makeover, with LEDs now serving as the light source instead of traditional light bulbs. The lampshade of the wall light can be both tilted and rotated. The brightness can be regulated in two levels (50 % and 100 %) using the switch on the wall mount - including a memory function. Another function of the VL38 LED wall light is the timer, which switches the light off automatically after four or eight hours. Note: The brass parts of the light are untreated and may therefore develop a patina over time.
